Core producing properties are located in southwestern Manitoba and southeastern Saskatchewan. While focus is on light oil in the Williston Basin, some gas production is maintained in parts of Alberta (Dunvegan, Normandville, Pouce Coupe, and Hairy Hill). Privately owned, the Winnipeg-based company began operations in 1980 with a purchase of assets in Manitoba from Copperhead Oil. Tundra operates more than 400 producing oil wells generating net average oil production to October 31st, 2005 of 6,000 BOE/day. The company is a wholly owned affiliate of James Richardson & Sons, Limited of Winnipeg, Canada.
